To clone your windows server 2012 R2, the best way is to install operating system then perform sysprep and go ahead with creating Image. You will find sysprep in the folder windows/system32/sysprep or simply press window key+run and type sysprep. Run sysprep.exe select generalization select shutdown you can now export your server to another location(if you export to the same location it affect your image during import). Import your Image or write to disk and you're good to go.
